Newby Hall Range

'Our chance visit to your showroom in Thirsk resulted in a beautiful addition to our house.'

Following on from our successful collaboration with the V&A museum which resulted in the Treske V&A range of furniture and kitchens, we now introduce a range named after a local historic house.

Newby Hall near Ripon has interiors designed by Robert Adam, and furniture by Thomas Chippendale. Since it was built in the 17th century, its owners have commissioned generations of the best artists, craftsmen and designers. Treske's craftsmanship stands comparison wth the masters of the past and a room furnished by Treske will also be enjoyed by generations to come. Even in difficult economic times, perhaps because of them, Treske's customers enhance their lives by investing in quality that will last.

Treske's Newby Hall range is a stylistic cousin to the V&A range with the same hints of Art and Crafts design combined with contemorary styling. The special elements of the Newby Hall design however give it a lighter structure and a distinctive personality.

All the pieces are characterised by a pattern of pierced rectangles placed on a curve. Likewise the line of the dresser drawers, the base of the table support and chair frame follow a delicate curve. The dressers' open shelves cry out for the display of decorative items while gentle tapers to the chair legs confer refinement. Like them, the Treske Newby Hall table has undeniable presence, yet the complete set, shown here in oak and certified as FSC, will enhance either modern of traditional domestic interiors.
