'It looks marvellous! Thanks for keeping to the timetable. The men were tidy and just got the job done. Pheu!'
A converted storage shed proved to be an inspirational choice for this home office addition to a rural home. Treske were asked to design a workspace, book and file storage while keeping good access throughout.
Made in ash, and using our traditional Helmsley designs, the desk is fitted around the existing wood and brick buttress, turning it into an architectural feature. Power access for the computer and printer are accommodated behind the front panels and the server is stored below the work surface. The desk faces the old shed doors, which when opened reveal a glass window with a stunning view.
Adjacent to the desk stands a tall book case dresser unit. The base has storage cupboards each side of a breakfront section containing four filing drawers, while the top is devoted to books.
As with all our home offices, we designed this with the client, ensuring that it completely met his needs.
