When designing a set of bespoke kitchen seating, it’s important to consider the height of your kitchen or counter. The height of the worktop itself will dictate your decision as to whether you want a bar stool or a counter stool.
A rough guideline is to measure from your floor to the top of your bar or counter; once satisfied with the accuracy, subtract 25cm from the overall height for an idea of the most suitable barstool height, which will take into account knee and leg room. Counter bar stools are 65cm in height and bar stools are 79cm in height.
