We take great care over the development of designs and furniture for crematoriums, chapels and funeral parlours. We understand that the best design creation is usually the result of good working relationships between the different people and organizations involved – the crematorium and client, architect, designers and makers, all of whom depend on good communication and mutual respect.
Treske Ltd were awarded the contract to supply the furniture and soft furnishings, with all items specifically designed and made by Treske for Stockton Crematorium. The crematorium furniture brief included all bench seating and freestanding furniture for the two chapels, inlcuding catafalques, flower stands and tables, for two waiting rooms including tables and upholstered seating, the reception desk as well as Book of Remembrance cabinets, ensuring cohesive quality throughout the entire crematorium.
This crematorium has been designed with simplicity and ease of access in mind, giving the local community a modern and tranquil building to say goodbye to loved ones.
As part of the complete bespoke design process, Treske put together a colour scheme for the client to show the curtain and upholstery fabrics together with all the other materials to be used, such as carpet, timber finishes and paint finishes. Treske also invited the client, architect and main contractor to visit their workshops in North Yorkshire to see at first-hand the design skills and manufacturing techniques which would be implemented in the manufacture all of the furniture and soft furnishings for this project.
Treske supplied bespoke crematoria furniture for both chapels which included catafalques, an adjustable height rise and fall lectern with integrated audio visual controls, as well as the seating including bespoke sofas for the first two rows in each chapel.
