A great admirer of design in all forms, Mike's designs draw on Art Noveau, Arts and Crafts as well as Impressionist painting. Inspired by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and in particular Ivon Hitchens a British painter of landscapes that emerged from the impressionist movement.
A proud former member of the Winksley cum Grantley Young Farmers Club Lucy is now looking after the next generation of young farmers. Lucy's takes the natural outdoors of her native Dales as inspiration for her furniture design and is always looking forward to tackling customers projects. Having recently seen Fall Out Boy her music interests are rocky. Lucy plans to visit Canada and go to Lake Louise to see the real giants of rock.
A keen renovator of houses and their gardens, her membership of the Historic Houses Association allows Olivia to indulge in her passion for historic buildings and in particular Arts and Crafts houses. Foreign holidays feature Brazil and New Zealand, with Peru next on the bucket shop list.
An all-rounder, Simon plays cricket for Barton, Hockey for Richmond and skis in between. Inspired by design and technology at school he graduated in Furniture making and design, from Bucks University. When not designing furniture or playing sport, Simon is a keen off road biker and mechanic.
An outdoors veteran of working on ranches several days from help in the wilderness, John has now settled for the civilisation of North Yorkshire. A keen furniture maker himself, John is a Country Music fan, especially Johnny Cash. The man in the back of the home also cooks and fries a wide range of all American cheese and meat based culinary delights, from burgers to wings. John's favourite furniture item is the iconic Finn Juhl Easy 45 armchair.
Another chicken Parmo fan and famed for a level of Instagram following most people could only dream of, Lewis is a fearsome competitor possibly developed while he was an undergraduate at Teesside University's Product Design course. Night outs in the town centre will be quiet once Lewis starts planning his ideal holiday in Thailand. A keen Spurs fan Lewis is looking forward to the new stadium experience when he gets the chance.
Well known for colourful shot descriptions on the local golf courses, Phil is a regular pub pop quiz champion with his well chosen team. A regular festival goer attending the Willowman and Beat Herder, Phil has recently seen Paradise Palace and would love to combine a wish to play golf abroad with seeing the Stone Roses in concert.
Niall joined Treske from his own cabinet making company. Having worked for both Silverlining and Andrew Lawton furniture Niall brings tremendous experience into the Treske team. Niall is a keen fly fisherman happily paddling in his local river after the elusive trout with a great interest in food and wine!
A keen photographer and sailor, Richard has taken up Field Archery and has qualified for the Scottish National Championships near Kelso. A keen collector of Jack Vettriano pictures Richard is inspired by his gentle love imagery.
A regular attendee at Motorsport shows, most recently the Porche meet at Malton, North Yorkshire, technical advances in motor engineering fascinate. Lee's favourite way of displaying timber is through in the large form of matched wooden staves when making table tops.
With his own 6 aside football team competing in a local league James finds time to enjoy going out to the many pubs in Thirsk, favourite The Frankland Arms, and socialising with his friends. Another keen music follower James like Dance and Rap going to as many concerts as possible, memorably attending a 50Cent concert at the Newcastle Metro Arena. James would like to travel to more of Europe in particular Italy for its food and sights.
All spare time taken up with children, but would like to resurrect his motorsport viewing at Croft and Silverstone. Would like to design and build the family home.
A keen follower of York City and for glamour Manchester United, Willie has also played football in goal for Thirsk in the Harrogate league twice reaching the Harrogate league cup final. Inspired by some of the Church furniture designs he has been involved in making, especially the altar for All Saint's Winterton, and the Choir Stalls for St Martins in the Fields.
Now an 18 handicap having taken up golf recently for outdoor recreation, Alex also likes gigs - best ever the Foo Fighters, and now looking forward to the Stone Roses.
Part of a keen cycling family, John regularly tackles the Yorkshire peaks of Le Tour route. In the work shed is a part finished Canadian Canoe just waiting for launching. Continuing the North American theme Shaker furniture is a great inspiration for John's furniture making.
As soon as it is raining H is running for the river. The search for pike has brought him success with front page news on Angling times reporting on his 28lb catch. Our best and most loyal Newcastle supporter his spray room is dedicated to past glories at St James's.
Weekends are often spent in the uniform and in the vehicle of a WW2 Royal Observer Corps, showing and giving talks about the Observer Corps at many of our regional shows. Mark is a keen shooting enthusiast which would fit with his ambition to have a Silver Birch woodland. When not entertaining others, Mark's interests include the British Home defences, and would like to be able to visit Germany's West Wall.
A very keen sportsman and cricketer keeping wicket for Northallerton, any spare time is spent following Huddersfield Town FC. Tom listens to most genres of music and would like to return to Ibiza for more.
The South Kilvington Freddie Flintoft of the cricket team batting at number 4 and opening the bowling, like his doppelganger keeps fit at the gym and through home improvement projects, having given up boxing. James's taste for a wide variety of easy listening music is matched by his extensive travels to Australia, the far East and Europe. Next stop is to see an IPL game with cricketing friends in India, and then ideally onto a cruise of Caribbean tour venues. When not playing or thinking about cricket James is gradually enlarging his home, and is still just completing his extension.
George is a keen truck restorer having rebuilt his over the last few months. George when not fitting furniture and kitchens, or rebuilding vehicles, can be found keeping fit by running after the oval ball for Wetherby Rugby Club.
Philip loves seeing different parts of the country and finding time to walk and draw. Often touring on his motorbike, he is a keen collector of memorabilia.
A keen North Yorkshire hockey player, Liam is a speedy midfielder bringing his stick skills honed at Thirsk hockey club to woodwork at Treske. Working in oak and walnut, and especially the smell of newly cut oak, gives Liam the most pleasure, as well as being involved with the creation of special items of furniture like the Manchester Cathedral altar. When not on the pitch, Liam is taking on the red trail with his mountain bike at Sutton Bank - hoping not to get a puncture 7 miles out next time!
Always cheerful and ready to help Tom is a keen and athletic climber, spending a great deal of time hanging around on the York climbing wall. When back on the ground a surprising turn of pace in relation to the amount of training, has resulted in Tom becoming a mainstay of the Treske Tough Mudder team. Tom is also an accomplished artist, particularly drawing and portraiture. Tom scales down his active pursuits by playing his guitar and listening to Indie music.
Outside work Justin has rediscovered trout and salmon fishing to add to playing golf and hill walking as his outdoor activities. A recent home move may curtail some of this with a large amount of DIY to tackle.
If not making furniture Mark is building cars to race on track and in drifting competitions. The peak of his track career recently hit a new high, not anything else, while driving a Nascar on the Daytona track while on holiday. Mark enjoys the mechanical and technical challenges that racing and building his own cars give.
A keen camping and walking enthusiast, regular family holidays are in the Lake and Dumfriesshire. Russell's design inspiration is our own version of Mackintosh, Mike McIntosh our head of design and the excitement of working in a range of Arts and Crafts styles.
Karen continues her interest in culture with frequent visits to the cinema, theatre and musical performance. Would most like to see more alternative rock music, such as her current listening to the band Royal Blood. Would like Treske to do more work in Wales.
Sue when not trying to solve the never ending problem of keeping the showrooms clean is a keen birdwatcher and helps out with the local Thirsk Brass Band. With a great love of the Alps she regularly tours the sights of Austria.
