The Ayton Coffee Table is part of Treske’s Ayton collection — a handcrafted range inspired by the historic village of Great Ayton on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors. Built in Treske’s North Yorkshire workshops using sustainably sourced hardwoods, the table brings together local craft tradition, elegant simplicity and a distinctive sub‑frame design that runs throughout the Ayton family of furniture.
The table showcases the Ayton range’s signature curved stretchers, which meet in a single central rail — symbolic of the paths, bridges and waterways associated with journeys through Yorkshire. The rectangular solid‑wood top sits on this unique angular sub‑frame, giving the piece a sculptural yet understated presence. Timber options include European ash, oak or American walnut, all FSC‑certified, and supplied in a standard oiled finish, with stains or alternative finishes available on request.

Treske is an independent, family-owned British manufacturer with over 50 years of heritage. Their workshops and showrooms are housed in an historic Victorian maltings in Thirsk, North Yorkshire — a building that remains a beating heart of traditional cabinet making. Galvanized by a passion for the natural beauty of hardwood, Treske is defined by a commitment to creating high-quality, sustainable furniture that celebrates the unique character of every piece.
Their furniture is renowned for its superior workmanship and full customisation, offering everything from bespoke kitchens to standard designs tailored to individual dimensions. Known for their mastery of solid hardwoods including oak, ash, and walnut, Treske combines time-honoured joinery with a refined, clean aesthetic. Their ability to integrate new designs with historic settings — including prestigious commissions for cathedrals and royal chapels — is a testament to the exceptional skill held within their Yorkshire workshop.
Treske blends artisanal, hand-finished techniques with modern design technology to bring bespoke visions to life. Remaining close to the raw material, their designers and makers work collaboratively with every client, ensuring that each piece is perfectly suited to its space and purpose. From the first sketch in their Thirsk showroom to the final hand-polished surface, the Treske process is an iterative journey of precision, care, and a deep-seated pride in British manufacturing.
