Kitchen Project - Carlton

By transforming the original L-shaped layout into a U-shaped design, useful storage was increased by a third, while creating a sense of openness making the space feel larger.

The symmetry of the kitchen is beautifully balanced from the cooking area, where an oven, combination oven, and warming drawer are to either side of two deep drawers beneath the hob. Tall worktop dressers extend to the ceiling on either side, one dedicated to drinks storage and the other for food. A simple oak shelf with integrated LED lighting runs between the dressers, adding a contemporary touch.

On the window wall, the fridge is placed to the left, with the worktop flowing seamlessly into the window ledge to enhance the space. This area is designed for food preparation, with a convenient bin and two three drawer cabinets, one of which includes a large cutlery and utensils insert.

The sink chosen was an undermount Belfast sink. Washing up is competed with a Miele dishwasher.  The addition of an under-counter fridge is conveniently near counter top doors that open to reveal a drinks preparation area. The layout is thoughtful and ensures ease of use throughout the kitchen.

Custom-made oak shelves were designed for the two alcoves, perfectly matching both the mantle shelf and the table, creating a cohesive and warm atmosphere.

The kitchen is completed with an Artisan Tara extending table and Neva light chairs, featuring seat pads in three different colours to add a subtle pop of colour to the room.

As well as the increase in storage the kitchen remains light, bright, and feels even more spacious than before.
