Kitchen Project - Clifton

Upon entering the space, the eye is immediately drawn to the striking statement kitchen island, featuring a distinctive fluted end panel and a curved D-end seating area. Designed to comfortably seat up to four people, this bespoke island encourages social interaction while softening the flow of the room. The elegant curved support detail adds a handcrafted touch, making the island the true centrepiece of this luxury kitchen design.

To the left, a run of midi-height kitchen units houses the integrated ovens and centrally positioned fridge appliances, providing a streamlined and balanced layout. Opposite, tall shallow cabinets offer practical crockery storage, each fitted with internal LED lighting that illuminates automatically when opened. This clever lighting solution enhances visibility while adding a refined, contemporary feel.

The island incorporates deep, easy-access drawers for everyday storage, alongside a Bora vented hob positioned at the far end to maintain clear sightlines. Directly opposite, set neatly within the window reveal, sits a traditional butler sink paired with a Quooker boiling water tap, with the dishwasher and waste bins conveniently located on either side for optimal workflow.

During the design process, the client requested a walk-in pantry that could be viewed through an internal window. By replacing the original tall cabinetry with midi-height units, this feature became possible. Inside the pantry, bespoke oak shelving and a durable granite worktop were installed, complemented by warm integrated lighting that brings depth and brightness to this previously darker basement space.

Despite its basement location, this bespoke Yeovil kitchen feels light, open, and welcoming thanks to carefully layered lighting throughout the cabinetry and island. The finished design showcases exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and stunning granite surfaces, delivering a practical yet luxurious kitchen perfectly suited to modern family life.
