Kitchen Project - Harlow

The kitchen uses a series of curves on each end of the island to soften the entrance to the kitchen from the family snug area. The island end nearest the snug has a large round oak top for a breakfast bar, set higher than the rest of the island worksurface that sits over storage and display cabinets.

Adjacent to the breakfast bar is a tall cabinet designed for crockery storage, the full height double doors giving good access. The sink overlooks the garden and other tall and lower units conceal built in appliances. Over the induction hob a mantle built into the run of wall cabinets conceals the extractor and lighting. A double oven and microwave are housed in a tall cabinet condensing and making the cooking area work very efficiently.

The L shape of this kitchen gives it immense practicality. An adjoining utility made in the same painted shaker door style is home to the washing facilities and further storage.
