Kitchen Project - Poppleton

On entering the kitchen a casual upholsted seat bench is set between the integrated tall fridge and tall freezer, perfectly placed for family traffic and muddy boot removal.

Within the kitchen the central feature is a large Island painted in French Grey and with a large nearly four metre Corian worktop.  The Corian has an inset Bora extraction hob below which is a Miele oven, both of which give additional or alternative cooking for when the AGA opposite is switched off. On the other side of the island the worktop is partially bowed to create a seating area comfortably seating four on bar stools – the Neva barstool is shown here. Glamourous LED lighting is positioned on the underside of the island worktop. A wine cooler is also incorporated facing the dining table.

Behind the bar seating is a large working Mary Berry pantry that uses bifold pocket doors to store the baking and dry food ingredients. Other dresser storage over the Corian worktop with wide drawers below creates substantial additional storage. The two-tone effect of Hicks Blue with the French Grey of the island helps highlight all of the kitchen furniture. Using the large dressers and other furniture gives studied grandeur, without creating any fuss.

The AGA is positioned opposite the island below a feature canopy and is part of a continuous run of cabinets that move the focus into the new extension.  This set of cabinets also contains the sink and dishwasher.  The Axix 1810 is seamlessly set within the Corian with practical waterfall edges and a Quooker tap. The clearing area around the sink links perfectly with the dining space.

A Rodam Passion R20 oak extending table along with Maru swivelling chairs to either end and Artisan Addo chairs along the sides, invites guests to enjoy the show.
