Kitchen Project - Fulford

Design Approach

The kitchen is built around clean, simple lines, allowing the materials to speak for themselves. Stained Ash slab doors give the space a modern look, while the internal block board construction ensures strength and longevity. Ash veneer interiors keep the palette consistent throughout, creating a sense of harmony whenever a drawer or cupboard is opened.

A fluted detail wraps around the island seating area, adding texture and a soft rhythm to the space. It’s a subtle feature that brings depth without overpowering the room.

Worktops

The worktops are finished in Dekton Laurent Natural, a surface chosen for its rich veining and warm, earthy tones that sit beautifully alongside the stained Ash cabinetry. On the island, the Dekton is paired with an Ash subtop, adding a subtle layer of natural warmth beneath the stone and creating a gentle connection between the materials.

Cabinetry & Storage

The cabinetry is crafted from stained Ash with slab doors that give the kitchen its clean, modern character. Inside, Ash veneer keeps the palette consistent, while block board door cores ensure long‑lasting stability. Storage throughout the kitchen is designed to be both practical and enjoyable to use, with mesh‑front larder drawers that allow air to circulate around fresh produce, a cutlery insert with dedicated knife storage, and a peg board system that keeps pans and lids neatly organised. A tall L‑shaped larder with matching L‑shaped shelving makes full use of the corner space, offering clear visibility and easy access to everything inside.
